Dannebrog Remodel

Construction prep has commenced! The back storage room addition was also removed.

Interior prep continues! Walls were built and windows covered to separate the south side from the north side of the building.

The first phase of construction includes removing all of the interior walls and ceiling on the south side of the building.

We wrapped up the year by uncovering a few beautiful design features from the past -- check out that original brick interior wall and tile ceiling!!

The drop ceiling is officially down. Now we can see more of the beautiful original tile ceiling!

All of the interior walls of the south side have been removed. One of the biggest updates of the building will include raising the south side of the building to be level with the north side!

The crew is working on clean up of the south side along with removing the night drop and ATM to make room for raising the floor on the south side. When all is said and done, the south side and north side will be all the same level!

Whew! That ole night drop was difficult to yank out! The crew is still working on the south side, clearing everything out in preparation for raising the floor.

Subfloor = INSTALLED! Interior walls = GOING UP!
We are making FAST progress on the south side of the building where the future offices, breakroom, and lobby will be.

Oh my! How beautiful is this arched doorway between the south and north sides of the building?!?! This is where our members and visitors will move from the front door, lobby sitting area, and offices to the teller line. One of our highest priorities with this building remodel is to harken back to the way the original bank building looked. This arched doorway is key to that design vision. In addition, the crew is making quick progress on the rest of the office walls on the south side.

We're getting ready to move into the finish stages for the south side!

We'll be retaining that beautiful original ceiling tiles wherever we can. Drywall is also going up in the lobby area and offices.

Still working on the walls and ceiling on the south side. The nice weather is also allowing more work to continue on the backside of the building.

Just wait until you see what we have planned for the lobby area on the south side. There's a couple of hints in these photos...

Since we raised the subfloor on the south side, we're also raising the sidewalk leading up to the door. Out with the old . . .

. . . and in with the new!

Prepping the walls and ceiling for a fresh coat of paint. Also installing the HVAC and lighting needed to each of the offices.

Primer is up on those ceiling tiles!

And base coat up on the interior walls!

Bringing new life to those tiles. This color will go perfectly with our redesign which calls back to this building's history.

Installing the drop ceilings in each of the offices today.

More drop ceiling work on the south side today.

Ohhhh! Ahhhh!! We weren't able to keep any original interior brick work, so we went with the second-best option.

Just look at the color of the bricks and trimwork with that new ceiling color!

More trimwork and some much-needed upgrades to our staff breakroom are being installed today.
Oh, and how about a fireplace for the lobby?!

Gah! Look at this lobby!! Is it just us or is choosing proper light fixtures an underrated statement in interior design?!

More new surfaces are surfacing! Check out the beautiful new carpet in the lobby and office hallway as well as flooring and tiles in the public bathroom.
