Debit Card Notice

October 11, 2017

Have you noticed the information is wearing off of your ACCU debit card? We did too and we have a solution.

Because we want you to have the highest quality product to conduct your financial business, we are issuing each of our debit card holders a new debit card with raised lettering.

Expect to receive your new raised-lettering debit card on or around November 1, 2017. Here's what you need to know before you activate the new card:

Q: Can I still use my flat-lettered debit card?

A: Yes, you will still be able to use your flat-lettered debit card temporarily. For your security, the flat-lettered debit cards will no longer work after 8:00am on Thursday November 30, 2017.

Q: Will my card number change?

A: Yes, the card number will be different; however, it will continue to be tied to the same account as before.

If you have any automatic payments or subscriptions set up with the number on your current flat-lettered debit card, contact the merchant and update your card information after you activate your new raised-lettered debit card.

Q: Will my PIN number change?

A: No, your PIN number will remain the same. Also, for increased security, the card activation process has been updated and you will not receive a PIN number in the mail.

Q: How do I activate my new raised-lettering debit card?

A: To complete the card activation process in a timely manner, please contact one of our Member Service Representatives if your contact information (i.e. phone number, address, etc.) has recently changed.

When you receive your new debit card, call the toll free number on the front of the card.

Q: What information will I need to activate my new raised-lettering debit card?

A: When activating your new raised-lettering debit card you will need the following information --

- the last four digits of your six-digit account number at ACCU,

- the last four digits of your social security number,

- the phone number we have on file for you (if you aren't calling to activate your new debit card from that phone)

If you need to confirm or update any of this information, feel free to contact one of our Member Service Representatives today.
