Junior Growers
Nothing makes our day quite like helping our youngest members take their first steps to financial success. For many, we find that a Junior Growers kid's savings account is a helpful vehicle for those first few financial steps.
Junior Growers Kid's Savings Account
Our Junior Growers kid's savings account was designed for kids 12 years old or younger with a parent or gardian as Joint Owner of the account. Check out these exclusive perks that come with a Junior Growers kid's savings account!
- 3.03% APY*
- A small gift from our treasure chest each time the child brings in their cash deposit
- Quarterly drawing for Junior Growers who made a deposit at least once that quarter.
We try and make it as simple as possible for a child to open their first account at Archer Credit Union. Here are some things to bring with you when you open a Junior Growers account:
- $5 Deposit (this will establish the child's membership at ACCU);
- A Social Security Card, Birth Certificate, or other form of legal identification for the child; and
- Your completed Account Information Worksheet (including identifying information of at least one adult Joint Owner)
Pro Tip: Once your Junior Grower account has more than $500, you might consider a one-year student certificate to capitalize on dividends. Check out our rates page for more information!
*APY = Annual Percentage Yield. Membership qualifications apply. Rates and terms are subject to change at any time.
